The process of buying and owning a home comes with challenges, however, and the dream of homeownership can draw scam artists and other predatory actors. Atlanta Legal Aid works with homebuyers and homeowners to protect them from the pitfalls and dangers that come with homeownership. We want your help in making sure that members of the Atlanta community have access to good advice when they are facing questions about homeownership.
This webcast will provide an overview of the following:
- Overview of the typical home buying process;
- Predatory products and scams;
- Practices for maintaining affordability; and
- The foreclosure process and how to avoid it.
