Can you believe that we are already half-way through 2009? Given the challenges of this year, many of you are probably happy that we’re over the hump. Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta is busier than ever, helping nonprofits address those challenges and get through these tough times.
For the first six months of 2009, the number of pro bono matters and the number of volunteer attorneys doubled over the same period last year. In January, we started tracking the number of hours donated by our volunteer attorneys. Year to date, our volunteers have donated almost 3500 hours of their time to help nonprofits. That translates to over $1,000,000 in free legal services in just six months!
