B-I-N-G-O: Bingo as a Fundraiser

December 7, 2011

On July 1, 2021, the Georgia Secretary of State took over regulating Bingo from the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (“GBI”). All Bingo-related records in possession of the director of the GBI were transferred to the Secretary of State. All Bingo rules and  procedures will remain in effect until amended by the Secretary of State.  All authorizations previously issued by the director of the GBI shall continue in effect until they expire by their terms or are suspended by law.  The linked article below will be updated if and when the Secretary of State modifies the Bingo application rules, procedure or forms.  During this transition state the instructions in the article remain and any further questions regarding obtaining a Bingo licensing application or inquiries regarding Georgia bingo laws should be directed to the Securities division of the office of the Secretary of State at 470-312-2640.

Learn about how to legally operate a bingo game as a fundraising event though obtaining a license and the proper reporting and record-keeping.
