2015 Annual Volunteer Reception

March 19, 2015

To celebrate ten successful years, Pro Bono Partnership of Atlanta held its Ten Year Anniversary Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Reception. More than 100 attorneys gathered at King & Spalding on February 24, 2015 to recognize the incredible work accomplished by PBPA volunteers this past year. PBPA client Paul Plate of Positive Impact thanked the volunteer attorneys who have assisted the organization with a variety of legal matters, including the work of awardees Rick McMurtry and Rob Potter in favorably settling a trademark case for the organization. Executive Director Rachel Epps Spears spoke about the importance of volunteers and donors to the growth and impact of PBPA in the ten years since its founding in 2005, noting that through the work of dedicated volunteer attorneys, PBPA has provided about $20 million in free legal services to nonprofits. PBPA Board Chair Betsy Griswold handed out Frabel glass peach sculptures to the following attorneys, law firms and corporations in recognition of outstanding volunteer achievement:

Delta Airlines, Corporation of the Year
McKenna, Long & Aldridge, Law Firm of the Year
